Letter to the Raikage Empty
PostSubject: Letter to the Raikage   Letter to the Raikage EmptyFri Jul 01, 2016 9:45 pm

Silence filled the frigid air of the desert as time seemingly passed. Most of the citizens within the village were asleep in the homes while several shinobi prowled the rooftops and streets, patrolling the area. Many of the village officials were at home as well, resting from the long and hard day at their jobs. Munakata, however, as still within his office, thinking. The large man let out a sigh as he looked out of the window, into the starry night. The village's funds were slowly but surely depleting as time went on. Providing for a booming population is hard work after all. In the desert no less. Licking his dry lips, the Kazekage knew he had to establish trade with another village. Otogakure was nice and all, but even now the village needed more. Raking his brains for a potential ally, he considered his options. He heard how powerful the Hokage is, but what would happen if the man decided to turn on him? Kirigakure was out of the question due to the lengths of even reaching it. Meanwhile, Iwagakure didn't have much either. Within a moment he decided upon Kumogakure, the Village Hidden in the Clouds. Grabbing a quil and some ink, Munakata began to write.

Dear Ruler of the Clouds,

I write to you now in a plea of assistance. The people within the desert are progressively growing more into poverty due to the harsh conditions of our environment. Though we are managing to get past each day, it's only a matter of time before we are all poverty stricken, unable to buy food or clean clothes. Thus, I write to you Raikage. We are prepared to begin trade with Kumogakure no Sato, giving you our vast amount of gems found under the sands of the desert to you, as well as herbs and medicines that can only be found within our domain. We are eager for your reply.

Kazekage

Putting down the quil, Munakata called out for a shinobi, who quickly entered the office. "Get this on a messenger, now. This is urgent." With a nod, the shinobi took the letter and ran off. Within moments, Munakata spotted the avian flying up and past the village, letter attached to its neck. With a sigh, the kazekage flopped back down into his chair, hoping something can be gained.
