PostSubject: Dear Mr. Otokage [Closed]   Dear Mr. Otokage [Closed] EmptySat May 21, 2016 7:02 pm

Heat welled up inside of the enclosure of the room as Munakata leaned back in his chair, unsure of what to do. Sunagakure, while full of hardy people, didn't have much resources as of late. After all, it is the Kaze no Kuni, and the wilderness is still full of brigands and outlaws willing to steal whatever crops they come across. The bronze warrior closed his eyes. While there was enough food to get by, he was never the type to settle for "just enough". His people deserve a excess for the hardships they have endured, at the very least, to him they do. Knowing he had virtually no options he sighed. He'd have to make contact with one of the villages. This was rather risky to him. Since the death of the Shodai Kazekage, Sunagakure has made no contact what-so-ever with any of the other villages. Mulling it over, he caved in. Yet, he now faced another choice. What village should he contact. Having his own experience with money and people, he knew he'd spend a good sum of whatever the host country wanted in-order to negotiate, especially if its one of the Big Five.

Slowly, he opened a drawer from his desk and pulled out a map. He looked at the villages, considering each one. Konahagakure had the freshest and most plentiful, but was most likely the most costly. He was hesitant about Kumo and Kirigakure, due to their equally violent histories. Thus, he set his sights upon the Minor Villages. He weighed what little he knew about them before eventually just picking one. It was Otogakure. Hoping that he made the right choice, he began to write.

Dear Lord of the Lands that resonate with Sound,

It would seem we are facing difficult times here within the Land of Wind. The desert itself makes it difficult to grow crops while criminals steal what little we have. We are a growing nation and, as such, we need food to prosper. I write to you now, humbly hoping you will come to the Hidden Sand's aid in its time of need. I would like to establish trade between the Sand and Sound, to further our relations into a friendly light. I am prepare to pay in jewels for the immediate transport of consumables. After that transaction, free trade will be open. May the Sands guide you.

Nidaime Kazekage

Thus, he finished and closed his eyes. He hoped the mention of gems would persuade him. Indeed, gems were commonly found within the desert, each being used for different things. Jewelry, weapon sharpeners, ingredients to medicines. "Please..." He would mumbled before standing and calling for a assistant. "Have this delivered to the Leader of the Hidden Sound at once." He commanded, with the assistant nodding. Within moments, he saw the messenger bird fly off into the distant, delivering the letter.

The Second Otokage one of his Anbu had found a Sunagakure messanger in the borders between lands the Anbu took the letter and sent the messanger on his way without any violence, after finding a pen and a Messenger Raven it was a letter from the Kazekage, the young mans eyes scanned the letter for a second time before he started to write his reply.

Dear Lord Kazekage,

As you no doubt realize this is a precarious positon I doubt your Shinobi would like getting aid from and ex Sunagakure Shinobi that stole their Bijuu, but I assume you already know that I will help you I would rather not see any more people die from starvation in The Land of wind. I will send food this Land is known for it's mass abundance of Rice, we also plant and raise other vegetables and I hope that this is not a trap Caravans will definitely be coming to the Land of Wind, You will know if it is a hidden sound caravan and not brigands by the sound of the flutes they will be playing a famous tune from the Land of Wind, that is all Lord Kazekage

Let The Melody of Peace bring you happiness-The Nidame Otokage

Snoring resonated throughout the small room as drool slowly dripped from Munakata's open mouth to the floor. His head was shielded by his arms, his face facing the desk, as he let out a fart in his sleep. Though comfortable, he was startled awake as the door to his officer was slammed open. A sweaty genin stood before him, heaving and wheezing. He tiredly placed a letter one the desk before slowly leaving the room without a word. With a blink, Munakata grabbed the paper and began to read. A half smile cracked upon his lips as he took a pen and began writing.

Dear Lord of the Lands that resonate with Sound,

I thank you for agreeing to these terms. Know that through you, people will live another day. Once the shipment arrives, I'll immediately send out your payment. May our two villages proper together.
Nidaime Kazekage

With a certain hastefulness, Munakata grabbed the nearest messanger bird he could find and attached the note before flinging him out the window.....without opening it first.

Shingen smiled as he looked at the letter then got up and left the Leader Office to go to bed. Shingen frowned as Shukaku yelled something in his head.
